Diff housings - any difference?

Guys, I'm building a diff.

Forgetting the centres and axles, is there any difference between an NA housing and a Turbo *housing*?

ie. has anyone put a turbo 28sp or aftermarket 28sp/31sp centre and axles in?

Thanks for the info. Just looking at starting with a $50 diff instead of a $800 one....

YES! There is a difference between the drum brake and disc rear housings. The drum brake housings have a lip on either side- disc brake housing DONT have the lip.

The lip on the drum brake housings WONT allow the fitment of VL discs. You can use VN rear disc backing plate as it has are bigger diameter hole which fits over the VL Drum housing lip.

I've personally fitted vl discs onto a vl drum housing many times without a problem.
